Initially a grassroots network, the Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry of North Carolina (UU Justice NC) has grown into a powerful advocate for social change. With over 20 congregations united under its banner, UU Justice NC addresses critical issues such as health care access, housing justice, and voting rights. To reflect this growth and take the brand to a more professional level, UU Justice NC partnered with Kompleks Creative for a comprehensive rebrand.

For the logo design, our goal was to convey UU Justice NC’s bright and transformative nature while aligning with the national Unitarian Universalist (UU) brand. The design features the iconic UU flame of hope, uplifted by hands to symbolize the communal spirit of the organization. We selected a warm color palette and used layered elements to reflect UU Justice NC’s transformative energy and positive impact.

These design elements were extended to the custom WordPress website design, which incorporates vivid imagery of members in action. The site serves as a dynamic hub for congregations, bringing the brand’s mission to life and providing a central platform for engagement.

The result is a vibrant, professional rebrand that reflects UU Justice NC’s evolution while reinforcing its commitment to justice and community action.
