Social Media Manager

Kompleks Creative is seeking a part-time, social media manager to join our team. This person will have an understanding of multiple social media channels, SEO and content creation in order to build and execute successful content strategies. 

An understanding of social media, seo, content creation and the latest industry trends is required. This individual should express a passion for storytelling, online community engagement and analytic optimization for multiple brand identities.  

Kompleks Creative is a creative agency with a love for developing and implementing strategies for new and existing brands. We are looking for candidates with portfolios that reflect the same passion. An online portfolio is required for consideration. Examples of work include case studies that show campaign success with measurable outcomes. 

This position is part-time to hire with a preference for local candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and gather information to inform the storytelling process 
  • Support and build original social media campaigns for client brands
  • An understanding of social media advertising and ad optimization
  • Consider content delivery platform(s), its users and the campaign strategy when creating content 
  • Create content that influences users, promotes services/products and provides information 
  • Tell stories using photography, videography and written content  
  • Ensure the message is consistent with brand guidelines, values, mission, tone and voice 
  • Build and execute measurable SEO strategies for client websites
  • Report on social media and SEO
  • Produce original content for blogs, articles, infographics, social media campaigns, photos and videos  
  • Develop and execute editorial calendars to achieve campaign objectives 
  • Collaborate with other creatives and work closely with our Creative Director to produce content that generates results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field 
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written and presentation 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and quality-conscious 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, independent, collaborative team setting 
  • Ability to move between styles and industries – examples include entertainment, healthcare, education and retail 
  • Forward-thinking, self-starter who will bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project 
  • An understanding of content strategy
  • Knowledge of AP Style and a demonstrated experience in its use
