Downtown Durham Inc. is a non-profit organization formed in 1993 to serve as a catalyst for downtown revitalization. Their website also serves as a hub of information for investors, businesses and visitors to our fair city.

The goals for the website design included the implementation mobile-responsiveness, an optimized user experience (UX) through restructuring of the information architecture, and a visual effect that would capture the spirit of Downtown Durham. The folks at Downtown Durham Inc. also wanted a user-friendly content management system (CMS) and the ability to utilize dashboard management of their social media, website content and internal databases. Kompleks Creative’s website development accomplished all these and then some. We used some great photography and video from around the city as the backdrop for a streamlined UX and introduced DDI to WordPress to assuage their content management woes.

A few years after launch, the Downtown Durham Inc. team asked us to refresh the website design and create a development map that reflects the growth across its districts.
