There's more below the fold

Promoting Humanity

The John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute at Duke University was founded in 1999 on a fundamentally collaborative model fitting Duke University’s emphasis on supporting interdisciplinary cross-fertilization. Their ongoing mission is to encourage serious humanistic inquiry, and to promote awareness of the importance of the humanities to the quality of human life, social interaction and all fields of scholarship.

In 2014, the institute launched Humanities Futures, a multi-faceted exploration project of the states and directions of the humanities, in light of the interdisciplinary developments of recent decades. The centerpiece of the project is a series of events and projects organized by Duke’s 18 humanities and interpretive social sciences departments in partnership with the FHI.

Kompleks Creative’s website design sought to balance the heavy information and text with clean design elements that express the vibrancy of the institute, while maintaining a visual connection to the Duke University brand. By utilizing WordPress as the content management system (CMS), the Franklin Humanities Institute team can easily perform updates to the website.
