The Smoffice, or the World’s Smallest Office, was made specifically for one lucky start-up to flex their entrepreneurial muscles in one of the nation’s best places for start-ups: Durham, North Carolina.

As a small business thriving in the “Bull City” ourself, The Smoffice website development project was an ideal creative opportunity. The Smoffice team approached Kompleks Creative with this huge idea to squeeze the most deserving start-up company into the world’s smallest office space, situated in the center of downtown Durham. Ironically, we found ourselves facing the same question as Smoffice applicants: how do we fit a big concept into a tiny space? Several motivational playlists and sketches later, the solution finally presented itself. In keeping with their desire to maintain a clean and minimal website design, we pooled resources from our very own studio to develop a website that spoke to the competition itself.
