The Duke Center for Child and Family Policy (CCFP) is dedicated to improving the well-being of children and families through research, education and engagement. They study factors that influence child outcomes, develop and test promising interventions and advance evidence-based practices and policies.

On the heels of a change in leadership, CCFP approached Kompleks Creative in need of a web design that represented their organization’s new strategic direction. Their previous website was difficult to navigate, lacked a clear creative direction and buried their content. Since their website is a primary tool for publishing and promoting their findings, these issues were significant.

As a center of the Sanford School of Public Policy, the CCFP website needed to look related while maintaining a unique look and feel. To achieve this, we paired the quintessential Duke blues with their extended colors and introduced sunbursts and rounder design elements. We also provided strategic recommendations to improve usability for website visitors and more effectively highlight their research and publications. The final custom WordPress website ensures that CCFP has a compelling digital platform to feature their work and expand their engagement with target audiences.
