Founded in 2015, the LGBTQ Center of Durham is committed to improving the quality of life for LGBTQ+ people in and around Durham, NC. Their vision is to create a community where all LGBTQ+ lived experiences are affirmed, supported and celebrated. They provide resources for families and individuals and collaborate with other local organizations to further their advocacy efforts.

As they strive to set an example for other local communities, the Center needed an updated website presence to reflect this growing role. To build their information architecture, Kompleks Creative collected and assessed data about the current website from Google Analytics and researched website architectures for similar organizations across the country. We developed a new sitemap to ensure their new website design aligns with their goals and improves user experience.

Inspired by the Philly and Trans flag, the bright color palette and playful typography transforms the website into a welcoming space for all. The custom web design embodies the energetic spirit of the Center while carrying the weight of its mission to improve the quality of life for all LGBTQ+ individuals.
