For more than 30 years, the North Carolina Institute of Medicine has shaped health policy in North Carolina by identifying solutions to the state’s health challenges. Their work has helped to improve the health and well-being of North Carolinians and positively changed how healthcare is delivered.

With the desire for a website design that was engaging, more visual and no longer outdated, NCIOM asked Kompleks Creative to help them communicate with their various constituents. They wanted a website that was modern, organized and timeless. The use of colors, geometric shapes and large photos made the website feel welcoming and captivating. WordPress was integrated as a content management system (CMS) for easy updates to existing content.

Upon launch of the website, we built a custom API integration to connect Google for Work data to the website. The result is an interactive map that aggregates key health data from across the state and allows users to filter by topic.
