Launched as a food truck in 2014, Boricua Soul provides “Puerto Rican inspired soul food to feed the soul” to the Triangle community. This family ran business mixes and experiments with fusing aspects of southern and Caribbean cuisine to construct something new and exciting.

In anticipation of their American Tobacco Campus restaurant opening in 2019, Boricua Soul asked Kompleks Creative to develop a website design that is visually stunning, sleek and reflective of who they are. With white as the only light color in the their pallette, we introduced yellow to add some variation to dark areas of the design. Distressed wood was also added as a design element to mimic the restaurant aethstetic. This custom WordPress theme is easy to maintain and feeds content directly from their existing blog.
