As “Durham’s creative agency,” Kompleks Creative was enlisted by the Durham Police Department to provide assistance for their annual report design. The department wanted to create a publication that communicates to members of the community how they have been fighting crime over the past year.

Representing the City of Durham, they desired their publication design to be simple, yet impactful. And of course, they were looking to make a bold statement, matching the well-known vibe of the Bull City. To convey the formality of the department we incorporated the City of Durham’s brand palette and chose a sans serif typography that evokes sophistication. We also incorporated photography that highlights specific community events and stakeholder groups.
