The Emily K Center is a nonprofit that serves as a college access hub for low-income K-12 students in Durham, NC. Founded by Duke University Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski, their mission is to inspire students to dream big, act with character and purpose, and become leaders in the community.

In need of an annual report design that was creative and energetic, the Emily K Center enlisted Kompleks Creative. Throughout the year, the annual report serves as a fundraising tool for donors and others interested in learning more about the center. The resulting publication design features large photos to visually communicate the positive impact of donations on the center, and a bold color palette to evoke the youthfulness of the organization.
