Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the African American Mayors Association (AAMA) represents African American mayors across the country. The organization produces the monthly “Our Mayors” podcast which showcases the leadership of over 400 black mayors by facilitating discussions on diversity, equity and inclusion from a mayoral perspective.

In need of new podcast art that excites their listeners, AAMA approached Kompleks Creative. We developed a contemporary logo design that uses geometric elements and bright colors to appeal to a young audience. The bold sans serif typography conveys their desires to be known as a modern activist organization. The microphone symbolizes the podcast as a platform for amplifying the voices of mayors nationwide.
