Coloring Everything Gold
North Carolina’s rich history includes its key role in the quest for gold. In a special program, UNC-TV highlights a leading family and town in the North Carolina Gold Rush.
To promote and provide further insight into its television program, “Gold Fever and the Bechtler Mint,” UNC-TV wanted a companion website. It was important that the website design pay homage to the Bechtler family story, Rutherfordton and Rutherford County and most importantly, gold. Moreover, the UNC-TV brand had to be preserved.
Kompleks Creative incorporated videos, a diverse range of photographs and a yellow-toned color palette to tell the unique story of gold fever in North Carolina. The use of blues helped to tie in the UNC-TV brand.
